India’s ‘diwali'

Rohit Sharma celebrates his century Hi t - M a n c h e s t e r - Pakistan. The contest in the ICCWorld Cup 2019 becomes no-contest between India and Pakistan as Pakistanis surrender ‘arms’ announcing that they are without bat and ball They accept defeat.
Pakistan suffer from a huge complex when they face Indians. Spectators turn up in huge number but the contest does not go to wire. They are disappointed.
Rohit Sharma’s century 140, Rahul’s 57 and skipper Virat Kohli 77 saw India make a handsome 336 for five. Sharma hit three sixes and seven fours off 113. He was as usual full of strokes and flicks on the leg-side. Quickest to reach 11000, Kohli hit 77 seven fours off 66 balls. He delighted the spectators with perefect cover-drives Kuldeep Yadav bowled two ‘beauties’ to bag Babar Azam and Fakkar Zaman. He now bubbles with confidence with bowls with immense variation “Chinaman’. Pakistan were stranded at 212 for six wickets in overs.

It was a match between Rohit and Pakistan bowlers. Rohit won. He often moved to make lofty strokes. His drives were impeccable. He set up India’s comprehensive win.

Whn Imran was ‘Khan sahib’ of Pakistam team, no one could question his decision. Now as a Prime Minister of Pakistan his calls were neglected at Manchester.

Master of sculpture

Pradeep Kumar Saxena From wilderness, Pradeep Kumar Saxena has risen as a master of sculpture. He enjoys the reputation of being international class. He bagged National Diploma of Art, New Delhi, 1972 Cultural Scholarship by the Government of India under Prof Dhan Raj Bhagat College. He also secured the Greek Government Scholarship 1979-82.
Pradeep had disappeared from his home. All hopes were given when suddenly News Editor of Indian Express, Piloo Saxena found him in Chandigarh while lighting a cigarette. He is a youngman who does not allow success to inflate his ego. He is too modest. He is an artist. He dazzles and enjoys his work. He is as inseparable with Jamia as he is with his kit.

Nick named ‘Kukkoo’ , Saxena has secured many awards and rewards. He has claimed national diploma in sculpture , College of Art, New Delhi 1972. “Sailoze Prize for the best exhibit at College of Arts Exhibition, New Delhi 1971. Academy Award, Calcatta 1974.Sahitya Kala Parishad Award, New Delhi 1989. He has participated in Group Shows, He participated in All---India Fine Arts and Crafts Society since 1971. He was much talked about in the “Heritage India” exhibition organized by Lady Sri Ram College and Garhi Artists.
Kukoo organized Young Stone Carvers Camps by AIFACS. His work is highly admired in Rajathan, Calcatta and several other centres.

Saxena had an evening with some journalists in Defence Colony friends when he presented national award sculpture to his friend, Kishin, on the occasion of marriage.
